At Legalweek's 2022 Leaders in Tech Law Awards on March 10, Norton Rose Fulbright was honored with the "Innovations in Diversity and Inclusion" award.

Norton Rose Fulbright was selected from six finalists for the award, which honors law firms for "innovation in the legal technology sector and for working on precedent-setting, game-changing projects and initiatives."

The firm received this prestigious honor following its recent efforts to champion social justice, including the creation of the Racial Equity Council, with a mission to improve the experience of Black personnel. The award also considered Norton Rose Fulbright's choice of fighting racism and championing social justice as its 2021 Global Charitable Initiative, a program focused on one cause annually through fundraising, pro bono and volunteering efforts.

As part of the 2021 Global Charitable Initiative, the firm organized the Run Against Racism charity 10k/5k event, featuring nine-time Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis as master of ceremonies and raising more than US$300,000 for three nonprofits: the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (LDF) and the Tahirih Justice Center.

Norton Rose Fulbright's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is consistent with its recognition that it is the outstanding people within the firm who are the source of its strength. The firm's people are its greatest assets.
